ERIC O. STERNBERG

Eric O. Sternberg, 76, of 831 Clark Ave., Ames, IA, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 1986, in Ames of a heart attack.

He was born Sept 8, 1909, in Germany to Gustaur and Alvina Sternberg. He had lived in Ames 13 years.

He was married to Gesine B. Schmidt Oct. 1, 1940, at Wheaton, MN.

Survivors include his wife, Gesine; two daughters, Marlene Herget of Livermore CA and Elaine West of Colo IA; a son, Dennis Sternberg of Torrence CA; two sisters, Freida Sternberg and Anne Sternberg, both of Germany, and a brother, Kurt Sternberg of Germany. Mr. Sternberg was a retired press operator.

Funeral services were Friday, Feb. 26 at 1:30 p.m. at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 5th St. and G Ave., Nevada, with Pastor William A. Ostreet officiating.

Burial was in the Nevada Cemetery.
