FRANCIS "SLIM" RUNNEALS

Francis M. "Slim" Runneals, 81, of 220 K Avenue, Nevada, IA, died Saturday, April 2, 1988 at STory County Hospital, Nevada, IA.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 4, at 2 p.m. at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada with Rev. Roy Sanders officiating. Burial was in the Nevada Cemetery.

Mr. Runneals was born Jan. 16, 1907, in Marshalltown IA to Rhea R. and Gertrude (Mitchell) Runneals. He had lived in Nevada for the past 75 years.

On Nov. 23, 1929, he married Ilo Oleson at Waukegan, IL>

He was retired from his position as Assistant Postmaster in the Nevada Post Office.

Survivors include his wife, Ilo; one son, Larry G. Runneals of Marshalltown IA; one grandson, Micheal Runneals of Hopkins, Mn; and one granddaughter, Kathy Runneals of Marshalltown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
