Frank Eugene McLain

Frank Eugene McLain, 100, of Nevada died of respiratory failure in Story County Hospital.

He was born to Clark and Belle (French) McLain at Maxwell. He lived in Nevada since 1915, after moving back to the area from Pasadena, Calif. He married Mable Carr on Feb. 23, 1916, at Nevada. He made his living as a farmer. He was a member of Nevada's First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, Fred R. McLain of Nevada; two daughters, Mildred McLain of Ames and Catherine Newsome of Nevada; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Dorothy Preyer of New Jersey and Isabel Reichardt of California.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
