Mrs. Emery, Ames, Died Thursday

Mrs. Bertha Emery, 66, 608 Burnett Ave., a long-time resident of Ames, died Thursday* at 11:45 a.m. in Story City Hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. Emery, who had lived here for 37 years, will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. from Duckworth-Stevens Funeral Home with the Rev. W. J. Fields, pastor of Memorial Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Mrs. Emery was a member of the Eastern Star, Rebekah's and Pythian Sisters. She had been employed at Iowa State College.

She was born in Webster Groves, Mo. In 1919 she married Orville Emery, who preceded her in death. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Edward Johnson of Webster Groves, Mo., two brothers, Andrew and Martin Peterson, both living in California and one niece, Mrs. Frank Bredall of Kirkwood, Mo.
