Mrs. Pierce, 90, Of Colo Is Dead

Mrs. Bertha O. Pierce, 90, Colo, died at Story County Hospital this morning at about 2:30 a.m. where she had been a patient for two weeks.

Born in Germany, she had been a resident of Story county for 78 years.

Mrs. Pierce was a member of the Isabelle order of Eastern Star for more than 44 years, Garden club and Evangelical United Brethren church.

She is survived by two son, William and Merle both of Akron, Ohio and three daughters, Mrs. Estella Hess of Harlan, Mrs. Laura Gilliland of Cherokee and Mrs. Emma Molyneux of Rolfe.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical United Brethren church. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery. Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, is in charge of arrangements.
