Obituary for Loren D. Johnson

Loren Johnson, age 59, passed away on August 29, 2013 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Loren was born in Richfield, MN to parents, James and Lois (Amstutz) Johnson. He graduated from high school and college and worked as an engineer at 3-M in Ames. He married LeAnn Peter Johnson on May 29, 1982.

He is survived by his wife, LeAnn; children: Jeremy (Jessica) Johnson of Ames, IA, Rachel (Oliver) Keeling of Ankeny, IA, Zachary Johnson of Story City, IA and Andrew Johnson of Ames, IA; brothers: Tim (Marilyln) Johnson of Bloomington, MN and Kevin (Dawn) Johnson of Woodbury, MN, sisters: Joy (Mike) O’Brien of Richfield, MN, Jennifer Johnson of Richfield, MN and Jackie (Steve) Schuette of Bloomington, MN and one grandchild Laura Keeling.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made out to Gideons or Bible Faith Church.
