Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Robert Allen Lowe was born January 17, 1938 to
Harley and Helen (Hewitt) Lowe in Ames, Iowa. Robert grew up in Ames was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church. His first wife, Mary (Hartman) Lowe passed away in April of 1978. Robert and Alice Brice Bechtel were married in 1983. Robert was a manager in the trucking industry and liked stock car racing and refurbishing old cars. Robert enjoyed camping and was an Iowa State Cyclone fan.

Robert passed away August 13, 2013 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames at 75 years of age.
Robert is survived by his wife, Alice Lowe of Ames; his children, Darlene (Mike) Belle of Des Moines, Rob (Kathy) Lowe of Des Moines, Teresa Lowe of Ames, Mike (Sindee Nash) Bechtel of Boone and Jana (Mike Louis) Taylor of Ames; fifteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary; his son, Richard Lowe; and his brother, Gordon Lowe.

Burial will be at a later date at Story Memorial Gardens in Ames.

The family requests casual dress for both visitation and Mass.
