Bessie Fifer Minkler was born in Nevada, Iowa to Henry and Rachel Cable Fifer on October 20, 1881 and died at her home in Robinwood Drive, Hopkins Minnesota, November 19, 1957 of cancer at the age of 76 years and one month.
She was united in marriage to Howard Minkler February 2, 1910 in Nevada, Iowa and to this union two children were born.
She was a member of the Methodist church of Harlan and also belonged to the Past Matron of O.E.S. of Harlan.
She is survived by one son, Raymond A. Minkler of Hopkins, Minnesota; one daughter, Mrs Mabel (J.C.) Frey of Alexandria, Va., and one sister, Mrs Emma Weiher of Mason City, Iowa and eight grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada, Iowa Friday, November 22, 1957, with Rev. David Ash officiating.
Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.
