MANY SORROWING FRIENDS ATTEND DOUBLE FUNERAL

Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Zwilling of Nevada Are Buried Side by Side in Cemetery at Nevada, Iowa.

The Nevada, Iowa Journal of Monday contains the following concerning the funeral of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Zwilling, who were killed at Nevada Thursday when their auto was struck by a train.

"There was a large number of people gathered at the Zwilling home at the corner of Locust street and Zecond avenue north Sunday afternoon at 2:00 to pay their last tribute of respect to the memory of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Zwilling, victims of the terrible fatality of Thursday evening. The double funeral service was conducted by Dr. O. H. Cessna of Iowa State college, an old time friend of both Mr. and Mrs. Zwilling, and the bodies were laid to rest in a double vault which had been constructed in the family lot in the Nevada cemetery. It was the first double funeral that had been held in Nevada in years. The bodies were borne to the cemetery in hearses driven side by side and the wagonettes bearing the pallbearers drove in the same manner. It was one of the largest funerals ever held in Nevada. There were many relatives and friends from many parts of Iowa and other states present. The circle of acquaintances of both Mr. and Mrs. Zwilling was wide and their friends were numerous."

Mrs. Zwilling was a sister of Mrs. C. L. Miller of this city.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. C. L. Miller" was Rachel Jane Letson who married Clarence L. Miller on 6 June 1876 in Story County, Iowa.
