Former Nevada Resident Dead, Body Back Here

John W. Jones, former resident of Nevada, died Thursday* at his home at 1329 Twenty-sixth street Des Moines and will be brought to Nevada for burial Saturday afternoon, following funeral services at the Dunn Funeral chapel in Des Moines.

Mr. Jones who married a widow lady Mrs. R. O. Sykes, lived in the house at the corner of Eighth and J avenue but left here about 27 years ago.

Mr. Jones was for many years a member of Central Iowa Lodge No. 104 I.O.O.F. and had always continued his interest in lodge work.

The funeral party will be met in the Nevada cemetery Saturday after noon about 4:00 by a delegation of Odd Fellows who will assist in the committal.

Noble Grand Lookingbill has called a lodge of sorrow for 3:30, that the lodgemen may assemble and be ready to go to the cemetery.
