Ena Gay Rebman

Ena Gay Rebman, daughter of John C. Whiteman and Helen Stretch, was born near Gridley in McClean County, Ill., Oct. 26, 1869 and died in Nevada, Mo., Jan. 4, 1970 at the age of 100 years, 2 months and 9 days.

She came to Nevada, Iowa shortly after her marriage to Harry E. Rebman, April 23, 1893.

They lived in Nevada a short time and then lived on different farms in the Nevada community. Then they moved to Minnesota awhile before moving to Nevada, Mo.

One daughter, Leota Faun, was born to this union Nov. 11, 1897. She died Sept. 15, 1944; Mr. Rebman, in 1934.

Mrs. Rebman accepted Christ and united with the Christian Church. Her faith in Christ and the church have remained steadfast through all these years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and 8 sisters. Remaining are one brother, John Whiteman of Bloomington, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Mona A. Harris of Rossville, Ill. and number of other relatives and friends.

Relative dies

Mrs. Harvey Stahlman has received word of the death of her aunt, Ena Rebman, of Nevada, Mo. Funeral services will be held here Wednesday, at 2 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home. The deceased is a former Nevada resident.
