Marlys Jo Grieme
November 26, 1955 - June 7, 2013

Marlys Jo Grieme, 57 of Nevada died on Friday, June 7, 2013 at her home. A Celebration of Life will be held 7-8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14 at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 708 Fifth Street in Nevada.

Marlys was born on November 26, 1955 in Storm Lake to Walter and Jannica' (Findley) Rath. On September 28, 1975, Marlys married Vandette "Tim" Grieme in Storm Lake. She was a homemaker. Marlys adored being with her family especially her children and grand-children, painting, and loved all animals.

Marlys is survived by two daughters, Dezarae Penning of Spencer and Aisha Steege of Nevada; two sons Caleb Grieme of Iowa City and Benjamin Grieme of Ames; two grand-children Seanice'e Johnson and Danica Penning; two sisters DeAnn Nissen of Storm Lake and Janni Leeper of Adair.
Marlys was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Linda Anderson.

A memorial fund has been established in loving memory of Marlys.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Marlys and her family.
