Beverly J. Hansen
November 11, 1938 - May 15, 2013

Bev was born on November 11, 1938 in Hiawatha, Kansas, to parents Norman and Lois (Van der Verth) Thoreson. She graduated from Ruthven High School and attended Waldorf college. She was an elementary teacher at the Belmond and Gilbert Schools. Bev Married Lee Hansen on July 16, 1961 and to this union three children were born.

She enjoyed walks at the Ledges, singing and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Beverly J. Hansen, 74, of Story City, IA passed away peacefully on May 15, 2013 at Bethany Manor in Story City, Iowa.

Bev is survived by: her husband, Lee of Story City, IA; two daughters: Janet Janvrin (Robert Hadaway) of Colo, IA and Jean Hansen (Kelly Hartzler) of Urbandale, IA; and son, Nick Hansen (Laurie Mabee) of Eagle Grove, IA; seven grandchildren: Uriah Peter, Josiah Peter, Tabitha Peter, Samantha Janvrin, Sydni Hansen, Jess Hansen and Jude Hanson; one great grandson, Jason Peter; two brothers: Herb Thoreson of Sioux City, IA and Doug Thoreson of Minneapolis, MN.
She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson Isaiah Peter.
