Gerald W. Osterloo
September 29, 1933 - March 24, 2013

Gerald Wayne Osterloo was born on September 29, 1933 in Alexandria, South Dakota to Tena and George Osterloo. While serving in the Army he met Barbara Korhonen and they were married in 1957.

He worked for 3M National Advertising for 33 years, retiring in 1995. After retirement, he enjoyed many special times spent with his grandchildren and family. Gerald also enjoyed morning coffee get-togethers with his friends. He was a fan of any sport and enjoyed puttering around the yard at home.

Gerald passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames at 79 years of age.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Barbara Osterloo of Ames; two sons, Wayne of Aurora, Colorado and Mark (Shawn) of Denver, Colorado; one daughter, Kristi (Joseph) Snyder of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; as well as his two granddaughters, Megan and Mayson of Denver and a grandson, Osten of Aurora. He also leaves one brother, Gordon (Lila) of Mitchell, South Dakota; sister-in-law, Betty Osterloo of Emery, South Dakota; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Byron.

Memorial contributions can be made to Israel Family Hospice House or to Bethesda Lutheran Church in his name.
