Marguerite Hegland
Nov. 6, 1911-Nov. 16, 1996

Marguerite Hegland, 85, of Story City died Saturday of congestive heart failure at the Bethany Manor nursing Home. Funeral services are Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City. Burial will be in the Story City Cemetery.

Marguerite Hegland was born in Lakefield, Minn., the daughter of John A. and Christopha (Tow) Hodnefield. On March 8, 1941, she married John Hegland at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Mrs. Hegland was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church an the Sons of Norway.

Mrs. Hegland is survived by one son, Merlyn Hegland of rural Ellsworth; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, Irvin Hodnefield; and one sister, Avonelle Ostebee of Story City.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother.

Visitation is today after 3 p.m., with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City.
