PETRA MALMANGER

Funeral services for Mrs. Petra Malmanger, 80, Story City, were March 5 from St. Petri Lutheran Church with the Rev. Rhuben O. Aga officiating. Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Mrs. Malmanger died March 1 at Mary Greeley Hospital.

Born in Story City in 1890, she was baptized and confirmed in St. Petri Lutheran Church, Story City, and remained a life long member.

After graduating from Story City High School in 1908, she worked as a bookkeeper in the Pioneer Store and the bank.

On Feb 2, 1920, she married John Malmanger. She worked in the office of the City Clerk for seven years during her marriage.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Hermanson, Story City; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. C. M. Bartlett and Mrs. Andrew J. Nelson, both of Story City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and nine brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers were Arvin J. Nelson, Andy Nelson, Wayne Olson, Elmer Malmanger, Arnold G. Johnson and Magne Idse.
