Emma Wierson
June 27, 1906-Jan. 18, 2000Emma Wierson, 93, of Story City, died Tuesday of a stroke at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City with th Rev. Stephen Anenson officiating. Burial will be in the Story City Cemetery.
Emma Wierson was born on June 27, 1906, near Stanhope, the daughter os Nels N. and Gunhilda Fardal. She lived in Story City most of her life. She married Theroy Wierson on May 25, 1938. She worked as a secretary for the Story County School and also at Coop and Bethany Manor before retiring in 1971. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City.
She is survived by one sister-in-law, Thelma Fardal of Story City, three nieces and seven nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, Nora Jacobson and Inga Enderson, and three brothers, Elmer, Guy and Harvey Fardal.
Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Friday with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City.
