Mildred G. Larkin

Mildred G. Larkin, 84, of Ames, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005 at the Abington on Grand in Ames. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 1 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City. Burial was in the Story City Cemetery.

Mildred Larkin was born Aug. 4, 1920 in Story City to Carl and Dagne (Nockling) Sondall. She resided in Story County most of her life. On Sept. 30, 1944 she married Ramie Larkin. Mildred worked as a janitor at Iowa State University, retiring in 1988.

Survivors include her daughter, Pam Lundy of Ames; one brother, Jennings Sondall of Story City; two granddaughters, Ariel Lundy and Lacie Larkin and one great-granddaughter, Heavenly Baccus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Clarence, Arnold and Paul, and two sisters, Mildred, who died in infancy, and Betty.
