George Horner died Friday

George W. Horner, 70, Jewell died June 27, at his home.

Services were held Monday at 10 a.m. from the Becker Funeral Home, Jewell, with the Rev. To Rehling officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Jewell.

Mr. Horner was born Sept. 23, 1901 in Nevada. He and Nellie Wright were married Sept. 12, 1927 in Marshalltown. Mr. Horner was a retired mechanic.

Surviving her are his wife, a son, Arlen D., Arlington, Va., two grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Barbara Hartman, 113 South Russell Ave. He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant children.
