Obituaries

MARVIN G. MILLANG

Funeral services for Marvin Gerhard Millang, 57, Story City, were held Oct. 10 at 2 p.m. from St. Petri Lutheran Church, Story City, with the Rev. Rolfe S. Johnstad officiating. Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Mr. Millang died Oct. 7 at Mary Greeley Hospital.

Born July 1, 1917 in Rose Grove, he owned and operated a dry wall business in Story City and surrounding areas for the past 20 years. He and Lillian Alma Zimre were married Aug. 23, 1939. They lived on an acreage southeast of Story City.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian; a son, Ray, Roland; a grandson, Shane; his mother, Mrs. Myrtle Caruth, Story City; a brother, Donald, Story City; five sisters: Mrs. Beverly Mortvedt, Story City; Mrs. Louise Anderson, 615 13th St.; Mrs. Mary Charlson, 925 Ridgewood; Mrs. Esther Howerton, 1124 North Second St. and Mrs. Ruth Charlson of Barnet, Mo.; and a step-sister Mrs. Mattie Kelso of Aurora, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerhard and step-father, Cyril Caruth.
