Robert C. Godwin, 72, of Story City died at the Story City Memorial Hospital yesterday.

Godwin had been a Story City resident since 1966. He was born in Boone County, where he farmed for most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife, the former Mildred Lawrence; his brothers Willard, James and Emery Godwin, all of Boone; brother Eugene Godwin of Ogden; his sisters Mrs. Kenneth Nelson, Mrs. Harold Davidson and Mrs. Lester Allie, all of Boone.

Services will be held Monday Sept. 16 at 1:30 at Grace United Methodist Church in Story City. The Rev. Paul Rosenberry will officiate.

Burial will be in Story City Municipal Cemetery.
