Anderson rites to be Friday

STORY CITY--Benjamin Anderson, 74, Story City, died unexpectedly about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday* at Story City Memorial Hospital.

He was born near, Stanhope and married Clara Quam Dec. 22, 1915.

Mr. Anderson had been associated with the Farmers Mutual Life Ins. Co., Roland, for 36 years, and was president of the firm for 22 years. He had also been a seed corn salesman for 34 years. He was active in the Immanuel Lutheran Church and had served as president of the board and as a Sunday school teacher for a number of years.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Clara: two sons, Arling, Mankato, Minn. and Sterling, Story City and Julius, Des Moines; three brothers, Richard of Jewell, Arthur of Story City and Julius, Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Gene Swenson and Mrs. Louise Swenson, both of Story City, and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters and a brother.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City, with the Rev. Harold T. Masted officiating. Burial will be in Story City cemetery.
