Myrtle Angeline Rosene 83, of Nevada, died on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Story County Medical Center in Nevada. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 1 at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 708 Fifth Street with Pastor David Burling officiating. Burial will follow in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada.

Myrtle was born on September 28, 1929 to John and Nellie (Butler) Lodestein in Ames. She was employed by Donnelly's and GFS in Nevada. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading.

Myrtle is survived by two sons; Charles Schadt and William Collins both of Nevada; four daughters, Vicki Black of Ames, Janney Collins of Golden CO, Cindy Benedict of Chesterton IN. and Nancy Collins; one brother, Marion Lodestein of Las Vegas, NV; eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents; ex- husband Donald Collins and second husband Peter Rosene in 1977; a daughter Cora Collins in 1976 and a sister and brothers.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, February 1, at George's Pizza in Nevada from 2-4:00 p.m.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Myrtle and her family.
