Rites Friday for I. T. Sande

STORY CITY -- I. T. Sande, 85, Story City died at the Iowa Methodist Hospital, Des Moines about 1 p.m. Tuesday where he had been a patient about two months.

Born in Etne, Norway, he had been a farmer between Story City and Roland until his retirement several years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Lizzie; a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Miller, Story City; three sons, Sterling and Raymond both of Roland, and Tilman Sande, Alta Dena, Calif.; two brothers, Alfred, also of Story City, and Elmer Sande, Long Beach, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Harold T. Masted officiating. Burial will be in the Roland Cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home until time for services.
