OBITUARY

Bervin Johnson

STORY CITY--Bervin Johnson, son of John K. and Bertha Johnson was born on a farm three miles east of Story City in 1908. He was confirmedc in Bergen Lutheran Church, Roland.

He graduated from Story City High School in 1926 and Feb. 20, 1936, was married to Gladys Larson at Story City.

They lived on a farm a mile east of Roland and then moved to the present family home four miles south of Story City.

Mr. Johnson was a member of St. Petri Lutheran Church, Story City, since 1942, a member of the building committee and chairman of the board of trustees.

He died April 25 at Mary Greeley Hospital, Ames.

Survivors are his wife, two daughters, Joyce and Leona; three sisters, Clara, Christine and Isabel Johnson, Story City; and brother Clarence, Cleveland.

His parents, two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.

Funeral was Monday at St. Petri with the Rev. Ocee Johnson and the Rev. A. E. Nelson in charge.

Mrs. Robert Hermanson and accompanied by Mrs. Alfred Jacobson. Pallbearers were Lloyd Ritland, Lawrence Osheim, Silas Jacobson, Homer Brown, Jeffrey Townswick and Ward Wierson. Burial was in Story Cemetery.
