Lynn Palmer Briley, 66, of Denver, Colo., formerly of Nevada, Iowa, passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, from cancer.

Per Lynn's wishes, cremation rights were accorded. Inurnment will take place at a later date, to be announced, in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Lynn was born to Joe and Norma Briley on Feb. 13, 1946. They preceded him in death, as did his sister, Marlys Briley Schultz.

He graduated from Nevada High School in 1964, attended Iowa State University and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Colo., Greeley.

Lynn's love for outdoor adventure and the lure of the beautiful Rocky Mountains led him to remain in Colorado following college graduation. Lynn built a successful career as an independent contractor in the Denver area.

Lynn never forgot his Iowa roots and embraced all his loving childhood friends with many return visits filled with great fun and laughter. With his warm sense of humor and kind, thoughtful soul, Lynn was loved by many friends and former classmates.

He is survived by his brother-in-law, Rev. Chuck Schultz and nephews, Christian (Rhonda) and Andrew Schultz. Lynn will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
