Josephine Myers, 95, of Nevada, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012, at the Story County Senior Care in Nevada.

Josephine was born June 27, 1917, at Adel, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas C. and Bertha L. (Cornwall) Wilson. She was united in marriage to Darrell Myers on March 1, 1936 at Dawson, Iowa. Darrell preceded Josephine in death on November 9, 2003. She was a member of the Nevada Christian (Disciples of Christ) Church in Nevada. Josephine enjoyed crocheting, crafts, Bingo and dancing. Her love for her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be missed.

Josephine is survived by three daughters: Mary Jo Achey of Marion, Iowa, Kathy Sue (Donald) Erickson of Nevada, Iowa, Tina Ann (Michael) Dahlke of Cambridge, Iowa; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Josephine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sons: Thomas, Jon, Kevin; two brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2012, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012, at the First Christian Church in Nevada. Cremation will follow the service and private burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Iowa Hospice.
