Verna Harriet Munson, 95, of Ames, passed away October 10, 2012 at Riverside Manor. No services are planned at this time.

Verna Munson was born January 1, 1917 to Gustave and Mary (Zimmer) Schafer in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. She married Gordon F. Munson and worked as a pharmacist. She was a member of the Laura Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star for 61 years.

Verna is survived by her son, William F. Munson and his wife Wanda S. Munson of Kingwood, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
