Randall Hobbs, 50, of Nevada, passed away August 23, 2012 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. No services are scheduled.

Randall William Hobbs was born June, 13, 1962 to James and Darlene (Trompke) Hobbs in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Randall graduated from Ames High in 1980 and from DMACC in 1982 with an Associate's Degree. He worked as a map maker in Denver, Colorado before moving back to Nevada, Iowa in 2008. Randall then worked at Sauer-Danfoss until May of this year. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

Randall is survived by his parents Jim and Darlene of Nevada; his brothers, Greg Hobbs of Ames, and his nephews Jared Hobbs of Ames and Mathew (Aieesha) Hobbs of Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Memorials may be designated to Israel Family Hospice House.
