Jonathan Lee Wright, 25, of Collins, passed away December 31st, 2011.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 7th, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Marshalltown. Interment will be held at the Collins Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 6th, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Marshalltown. Memorials may be directed to the family. Jonathan “Jon Boy” Lee Wright was born in Marshalltown on August 14, 1986; he was the son of Thomas and Susan (Swearingen) Wright. Jonathan graduated from the Collins-Maxwell High School in 2005. He later completed 4 years of plumbing apprenticeship through Associated Builders and Contractors Association and earned his plumbing certification. He was currently employed by Proctor Mechanical in West Des Moines.

Jon enjoyed NASCAR racing and having his season tickets at the Newton Speedway. He was known for being a hard worker, having a unique sense of humor, and helping anyone that asked. Jon loved to fish and enjoyed being part of the Saylorville Dam Snowmobile Club; he always enjoyed running the groomer.

He is survived by his parents, Thomas & Susan Wright of Collins, IA; his siblings: Joseph Daniel Wright & Fiancé Heidi of Kansas City, MO and Tracy Anna Wright of Des Moines, IA; his grandparents: Ann Swearingen of Marshalltown, IA and Jim and Hazel Wright of Collins, IA; his girlfriend, Cassandra Barrett of State Center and her children, Aunna and Jayden

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Douglas Swearingen.
