WHITEHEAD RITES ARE HELD AT DES MOINES
Former Ames Man is Survived by Widow and One Brother
Funeral service for H. E. Whitehead, widely known in Des Moines and a former resident of Ames, were held at his home there this week.
Mr. Whitehead was born at Cambridge, May 4, 1869 and went to Des Moines in 1920. He served as patron of Adelphic chapter, Eastern Star in 1915 and master of Adelphic lodge A.F. & A.M. in 1919. In 1916 he served as watchman of the White Shrine of Jerusalem.
While in Ames Mr. Whitehead was affiliated with the Knights of Pythias lodge and served as chancellor for one term.
He is survived by a widow and one brother David Whitehead of Boone.
