Brian Eugene Harmon
February 12, 1974 - June 19, 2011

Brian Eugene Harmon, 37 of Mingo passed away on Sunday June 19, 2011 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada, Iowa with Pastor David Burling officiating.

Brian was born on February 12, 1974 to Diana (Smith) and Richard Harmon in Ames, Iowa. He attended Collins-Maxwell high school and after school worked various jobs as a general laborer. He married Joni Walker and of this union three children were born, they later divorced. Brian later had two other children with Shannon Haines. His kids were his world and his everything.
Brian enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, mushroom hunting, and fishing.

Those left to cherish Brian's memories are: his mother, Diana Green of Nevada; his father, Richard Harmon of Mingo; children, Kaylee, Brilyn, and Gracee Harmon of Garwin, Tayler, and Madisen Harmon of Oskaloosa; his children's mothers, Joni Harmon of Garwin, and Shannon Haines of Oskaloosa; brothers, Allen (Angel) Harmon, Jim Harmon, and Gerry Bailey.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandfather and his brother Chad Bailey.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 5-7 p.m. at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada, Iowa.
