Ruby Alvina Jackson
September 9, 1915 - September 11, 2011

Ruby Alvina Jackson, 96 of Nevada passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Rolling Green Village in Nevada. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 15 at the First United Methodist Church, 1036 7th Street in Nevada with Pastor Kevin Leveck officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memory Gardens in rural Nevada. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Ruby was born on September 9, 1915 in Montour, IA to Louis and Luella Flint. On September 14, 1935, she married Ward Allen Jackson in Anamosa. Ruby retired from Donnelley Marketing after 40 years of service. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Nevada. Ruby enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and watching her children and grand children participate in sports.

Ruby is survived by 2 sons, Harold (Marsha) Jackson of Nevada and Lloyd (Lori) Jackson of Woodward; a daughter-in-law, Pat Jackson of Gilbert, AZ; 9 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ward in June of 1974, a son Howard on August 27, 2006, and a great grandchild Brian Thigpen.

A memorial fund has been established in loving memory of Ruby for the Nevada Senior Center.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Ruby and her family.
