Nevada, Iowa

NEVADA – Lila L. Gibbs, 90, of Nevada, Iowa, died Sunday, October 30, 2011, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, November 3, 2011, at Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Lila was born March 20, 1921, in Valier, Montana, the daughter of Hila and Neva Hoover. She married George Gibbs on January 21, 1939. They had three children: Linda Howlett of Des Moines, Iowa; Judy (Ronald) Jennings of Cambridge, Iowa, and Victor of Westminster, Maryland. George preceded her in death July 20, 1986. She was employed by Donnelly Marketing and the Moose Lodge. Lila was a member of the Nevada Memorial Lutheran Church, Ruth Circle, and Women of the Moose.

Survivors include two daughters: Linda Howlett and Judy Jennings; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and her long time companion, Robert "Bob" Reichardt of Ames.

Lila was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Victor; and one sister.
Bacon Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
