BORN: November 13, 1920
DIED: January 29, 2011
LOCATION: Ames, Iowa

Delores (Connie) McConnell Prior, 90 of Ames, passed away Saturday, January 29. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2 at Adams Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3 at First United Methodist Church.
Delores was born November 13, 1920 in Omaha, NE, the daughter of James and Maude E. (Glass) McConnell. She attended high school in Atlantic and Wiota, Iowa.

Delores married Raymond C. Prior November 8, 1947 in Omaha, NE. On arriving in Ames in 1949 she was employed for a time at the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company. After some years as a homemaker, she again entered the business world with her position of administrative assistant in the Department of Veterinary Pathology at Iowa State University, retiring in 1987. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband; son, R. James Prior of Ames; and two grandchildren, Kara and Isaac, of Ames. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James E. McConnell of Kearney, NE.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Israel Family Hospice House
