Kenneth Lee Achey, 64, of Ames died March 3, 2011 at Bright Kavanaugh House in Des Moines. Memorial services will be held as a part of the Saturday worship service at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 12 at Memorial Lutheran Church, Ames.

Kenneth was born August 4, 1946 in Cedar Rapids to Clive and Hilda (Evers) Achey. He spent his career in the U.S. Coast Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
