Ardee "John" Henry

BORN: July 25, 1933
DIED: March 18, 2011
LOCATION: Jewell, Iowa

Ardee (John) Henry was born July 25, 1933 to R.D. and Myrtle Helen (Davis) Henry in Ames, Iowa. John served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He married Neta Scheuermann on April 15, 1955 and worked as an electrician for Kurrent Electric. John was a buck skinner and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with friends. He especially enjoyed times together with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

John passed away Friday, March 18, 2011 at Van Diest Medical Center in Webster City, Iowaa at 77 years of age.

John is survived by his wife Neta of Jewell; his children Sue and her husband Scott Henning, Penny and her husband Blake Peterson, and Cy and his wife Lisa Henry, all of Story City; his brother James and his wife Marjorie Henry of Boone, Iowa; five grandchildren, Ryan Peterson, Grant Peterson, Nicholas Peterson, Andrew Henning, Jessica Henry; two great-grandchildren, Tristan Peterson and Taryn Peterson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
