Herma Victoria Sorenson

BORN: February 9, 1913
DIED: March 31, 2011
LOCATION: Tyler, Minnesota

Herma Victoria Sorenson was born February 9, 1913 to George A. and Carrie (Valen) Olson on a farm near Roland, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed in Bergen Lutheran Church in Roland. At the time of her death was a member of First Lutheran Church in Marshall, Minnesota.

Victoria graduated from Roland High School in 1930. She married Arnie Sorenson on July 2, 1931. They had two daughters, Colleen and Karen, and a son, Larry.

Herma Victoria Sorenson passed away March 31, 2011 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Tyler, Minnesota at 98 years of age.

Survivors include her son Larry and daughter-in-law Janet of Westminster, California; her daughter Karen and son-in-law Darrell Hoyle of Marshall, Minnesota; her son-in-law Audry Kenney of Westminster, Colorado; her grandchildren Michael Kenney, Paula Clark, Mark Sorenson, Kristin Valadez, Ann Lavigne, and Duane Hoyle; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arnie; her daughter Colleen Kenney; and seven sisters.
