Leonard E. Forsberg

BORN: May 25, 1923

DIED: June 12, 2011

LOCATION: Story City, Iowa

Leonard E. Forsberg was born May 25, 1923 to Herbert and Mary (Waldorph) Forsberg in Cass County, Minnesota. Leonard served in the United States Navy during WWII. He married Irene Hougen Sandvig on February 11, 1962. Leonard worked for 32 years as a telephone lineman, retiring in 1977. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City.

Leonard passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Bethany Manor at 88 years of age.

Leonard is survived by his stepson Jerry (Deanna) Sandvig of Phoenix, Arizona; two stepdaughters, Donna (Kent) Naae of Davenport and Sally Jo (Randy) Clark of Mission Viejo, California; twelve step grandchildren; and sixteen step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and five brothers and sisters.
