Elaine "Terry" Netcott

BORN: July 27, 1919

DIED: October 22, 2011

LOCATION: Ames, Iowa

Elaine "Terry" Netcott, 92, died Saturday, Oct. 22 at Israel Family Hospice House. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Adams Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Elaine was born July 27, 1919 in Manchester to Arthur and Mary (Sommer) Anderson. While in school she was nicknamed Terry because she and her friend passed notes in class and disguised themselves with different names. She lived in Ames most of her life. She enjoyed volunteering at St. Cecilia Catholic Church and enjoyed reading and her cat "Baby."

Terry is survived by her children, Ralph William Netcott, Jr. and wife, Betty, Curtis Lee Netcott and wife, Pat, Jeffrey Netcott and wife, Colleen; twelve grand children; twenty-five great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; sister, Margaret; and brother, Richard.
