Daniel Morrison

BORN: November 27, 1963

DIED: January 24, 2012

LOCATION: Ames, Iowa

Daniel Lee Morrison, 48, of Ames, died Tuesday, January 24 at home after a long battle with cancer. Visitation is 4 – 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26 at Adams Funeral Home. Memorial services are 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27 also at Adams Funeral Home.

Daniel was born November 27, 1963 in Ames to Edward Morris and Sandra Kay (Myers) Morrison. He was a lifetime resident of Ames and graduated from Ames High School in 1982. He married Cheri Laflen March 22, 2011.

He was a guitarist for "Unkald 4" and "Bent". Daniel loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and camping.

His survivors include his wife, Cheri, of Ames; daughter, Natasha (Joe) Gallegos; son, Riley Morrison; step-daughters, Katie Shier and Alice Paulson; step-sons, Forrest Paulson and Nicholas Paulson; brother, Jim Morrison; sisters, Joan (Loren) Alsager, Julie Morrison and Tamara Morrison; three grandchildren, Nevaeh, Destiny, and Aaliyah; and his in-laws, John and Shirley Laflen.

He was preceded in death by his parents and uncle Bob.
