John Wesley Dickerson

BORN: January 31, 1917

DIED: May 10, 2012

LOCATION: Story City, Iowa

John Wesley Dickerson was born January 31, 1917 to George F. and Anna Lena (Hardman) Dickerson in Powersville, Missouri. He married Betty Good on October 29, 1948. John was a farmer and retired and moved into Story City in 1978. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and enjoyed golf, bowling, and cards. John was a good friend to all.

John passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames at 95 years of age.

John is survived by his wife Betty Dickerson of Story City; his sons John Dickerson of Dows, Mike Dickerson of Story City, and Tom Dickerson of Papillion, Nebraska; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and his sister Helen Capered of Omaha, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and three sisters.
