Suicide of Daniel W. Robinson.

On Saturday afternoon of last week, Daniel W. Robinson, son W. R. or "Yankee Robinson," as he is familiarly known, shot himself through the chest with a navy revolver, fromthe effects of which he died about 9 o'clock yesterday morning. Daniel W. Robinson was aged about 32 years. On account of sickness and having been afflicted with fits, he was not considered at all times to be of sound mind. When he took the revolver from is accustomed place he was asked what he was going to do with it, but made some evasion and stepped out of the house. Before any one could get to him he pointed the revolver at his breast and fired, the ball passing through his lungs and lodged just under the skin, below his shoulder blade. He did not fall instantly from the effects of the shot, but gradually sank down and fainted away. After recovering consciousness the only answer he would make to inquiries was that he did the shooting intentionally and calculated to kill himself. His parents have the sympathy of a large circle of acquaintances in their unfortunate bereavement.
