EAST INDIAN, Jan. 11th 1879.

The last week has been one of mourning for East Indian. We have been called to look on for the last time the friendly faces of three of our citizens and friends...

The third was Miss Ann Stout who died Jan. 8th, in the 20th year of her age. She too was a devoted christian, being a member of the Church of God. She was a promising young woman and I learn was soon to have been married to one of our most worthy and estimable young men. The friends of all have the sympathy of the entire community. I hope some friend of each will give a more extended sketch for publication.
