EAST INDIAN, Jan. 11th 1879.

The last week has been one of mourning for East Indian. We have been called to look on for the last time the friendly faces of three of our citizens and friends.

The first was Mr. Samuel McDanial who died Jan. 3rd. He was one of the oldest settlers, having lived on the same farm about 24 years. He was a good neighbor and a highly respected citizen. He was 76 years old when he died....
