Mr. John Elliot, father of Supervisor Elliot, died on Monday morning last, at the advanced age of over 80 years, and in the afternoon his remains were taken to Illinois, his former home, for burial. He had lived in this county something like ten years was one of the most prompt, upright and punctual men we ever met. His promise was as good as gold, and his word never broken. All who knew him were his friend and highly respected him.
