W. N. Meservey, editor of the Webster county Gazette, died very suddenly on Saturday evening of last week, of hemorrhage of the stomach, Judge Meservey, as he was familiarly called, was an old an active citizen of Ft. Dodge, having been a resident of that county for twenty-five years or more. He accompanied the Iowa editorial party to Texas last May, and was one of the liveliest and joyous participants. He is the second one of that Texas party who has since gone to their long home, Mr. Ballard of the Glenwood Opinion, preceding him about two weeks. Two noble souls finished their life work and gone to rest.
