East Indian Items.

Mr. M. Cook, near Colo, had a child scalded about a week ago by pulling a coffee pot of boiling coffee on it. If suffered until yesterday when death relieved it. The father and mother have our sympathy. REXFORD.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: According to WPA Records, James R. Cook died 27 July 1878 aged 7 months. He was buried in the Colo Cemetery, Story County, Iowa.
