From Nevada Representative June 27, 1877

On Saturday, forenoon Mr. I. R. Larue's oldest boy, aged about 14 years, was drowned in East Indian creek. The creek was high so that the outlines of the channel could not be seen. He waded out into the water and went off the edge of the bank into water about ten feet deep, from which he was unable to get out, and was drowned.
