DEATH OF A. J. FISK.

We received the painful announcement yesterday of the death of A. J. Fisk, son of L. W. Fisk, of Peoples township. Mr. Fisk left the law office of D. R. Hindman, of this city, about two weeks ago, not feeling well at the time. Since then he gradually declined, until his death, which occurred Monday evening, May 29th, about 6 o'clock, P. M. His disease was a complication of diseases of the liver and kidneys, and he failed very fast. He was attended by Doctors M. P. and W. A. Mowrer. He was 22 years of age, and was a young man of far more than ordinary ability. He had followed teaching as a profession until about two months ago, when he entered the law office of D. R. Hindman and commenced the study of law. A year ago last winter he was assistant principal of the Boonsboro schools and latterly was principal of the Swede Point schools. He had just fairly commenced a career of honor and usefulness, and his untimely death will be universally regretted.--Boone Co. Republican.
